GoWild Social App: Stop Scrolling and See the Content You Want. The Outdoorsman’s App.
GoWild social app was started by Brad Luttrell. It is specifically made with fishermen and hunters in mind. It was created for outdoorsmen to share their experiences and gear, helping others to learn and be inspired while scoring points that qualify them for awesome rewards—free gear and discounts.
The idea of this app started a few years ago. Brad was thinking about the topic of conservation and social media. Brad saw a problem; the social media platforms that existed were against the sharing and promoting of hunting and fishing activities. He wants the users of his app to learn and gain tools to go out and experience the outdoors by allowing GoWild’s participants to publish uncensored outdoor content.
There are dozens of topics addressed in this app: archery, bear, boating, Bowhunters of America, conservation, faith, farming, fly-fishing, foraging, big game hunting, small game hunting, fishing, bass fishing, and aviation name several.
Users are allowed to select the topics they are interested in and receive only those topics in their feed, barring someone mistakenly labeling a post for something that it is not.
So, if you are a fisherman but not a hunter, you can set that you are interested in fishing, and hunting will not come up on your feed. You are in charge of the content you receive, not some computer that mines your information and browsing history.
There are a few specific ways that you can post:
- Connect to your watch with the app and load the activities you accomplished to the platform.
- Logging time: sharing the time you invested in an outdoor activity.
- Sharing a trophy.
- General post: asking questions, saying hi, or sharing a pic.
The app is set up very well. It is easy to select what kind of post you want to make, upload photos, and log the time and gear that you used. The notifications you will receive include the following: someone up-voting your post, comments on a post you commented on or posted, new followers, a question asked in a topic you have followed, someone logging gear used or making a review on gear, and direct messages.
So, I mentioned getting awesome rewards. Yes, the free and discounted gear is real! Every time you post, refer a friend, or make a qualified purchase, you gain points. Every time you gain points, you are adding to your rewards. It’s like a debit card, except to deposit into your account, you make posts. The easy way to score lots of points is to include gear in your posts. Your photos could be nothing to mention, your grammar could be terrible, and you will still receive rewards!
The goal of this app is to encourage outdoorsmen to communicate, encourage, share experience and motivation, and increase involvement in conservation.
GoWild is also a robust gear-shopping platform. If you see gear in someone’s post and want to buy it, you can buy it right then and there. Click the item tagged and you can learn more about the product and purchase. It is a useful app that eliminates time scrolling through things that you don’t want to see. It gives you equal visibility with all other users in everything you post. GoWild social app is a great option to publish and grow in outdoor activities.
